5 interesting facts from flight attendants that most passengers don’t know

Even though you may be a regular flyer, there are some facts that flight attendants and other airline workers have kept as a secret from the other passengers and you probably weren’t aware of them.

5. The bathrooms can be unlocked and opened from the outside. All of them. And every pilot and flight attendant knows how, and probably a number of the passengers as well. So be careful what you are trying to pull in there.Lavatory-door

4. There is a secret cabin for them upstairs where they take a nap or sleep. It’s only on most international flights though.Screen-Shot-2015-05-06-at-14.34.47.png

3. A surprising amount of the delays that happen, are due to passengers. That one guy who throws a fit because he can’t take four ounces of liquid through TSA and decided the gate agent was a great target to take out their wrath on caused your delay. So did that family that decided it was a great idea to bring three strollers and two car seats for their single child. That sweet old Grandma who insists she doesn’t need help getting onto the plane, but can’t walk faster than one step every minute? Gotta wait for her. And that last delay you had that the agent told you was due to maintenance? Was thanks to some guy trying to hijack the smoke alarm in the plane.original_Airline_Compensation_for_a_Flight_Delay_That_Means_a_Lost_Work_Day

2.There are sometimes body parts in the storage area near your luggage ( when they are flying transplants for hospitals). Also your pets are in the same area as well.getty-143422021-organ-transplant-peter-dazeley-opener

1. Mobile electronic devices won’t really bring an airplane down but they can be really annoying to pilots. Just imagine sitting in the flight-deck descending to your destination and hearing the interference of a 100+ cellphones picking up a signal.
